The Play is Learning program by Children’s Wish Foundation Uganda is dedicated to empowering children and young people who have dropped out of school by equipping them with essential computer skills. In Uganda, many youth face educational barriers and limited access to career opportunities, and we believe technology can be a transformative tool in bridging these gaps. Through engaging, hands-on learning experiences, our program helps youth gain practical skills to build a brighter future.

Our Vision
Our vision is to create a generation of youth who are confident, skilled, and prepared to succeed in the modern digital world. By integrating technology training with interactive and fun activities, Play is Learning aims to inspire students to explore, create, and realize their potential, transforming lives and communities in the process.

What We Offer
Play is Learning offers courses and workshops that focus on essential computer skills. Our students are trained in:

• Website Design: Learning HTML, CSS, and using tools like WordPress to create their own websites.
• Graphic Design: Exploring visual design using programs like Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva to create digital art, marketing materials, and more.
• Typing Skills: Mastering the keyboard to improve productivity and job-readiness.
• Computer Maintenance: Understanding the basics of computer hardware and troubleshooting, so they can care for and maintain their devices.

Our Approach: Learning Through Play
We believe that learning is more impactful when it’s enjoyable and engaging. That’s why Play is Learning integrates gamification and play-based learning methods to make the learning process both fun and effective. Through interactive projects, friendly competitions, and teamwork activities, we create a supportive environment that encourages students to persist, collaborate, and achieve.

Our Impact
